Geography

The continent of Australia, with the island state of Tasmania, is approximately equal in area to the United States.

Mountain ranges run from north to south along the east coast,. The western half of the continent is occupied by a desert . The Great Barrier Reef, extending about 2,000 km,. The island of Tasmania 67,800 km is off the southeast coast.

Government

Democracy. Symbolic executive power is vested in the British monarch, who is represented throughout Australia by the governor-general.

History

The first inhabitants of Australia were the aborigines.

Today about 350,000 Aborigines live in Australia.

Dutch, Portuguese and Spanish ships sighted Australia in the 17th century.

Free settlers and former prisoners established six colonies: New South Wales (1786), Tasmania (1825), Western Australia (1829), South Australia (1834), Victoria (1851) and Queensland (1859).

Several gold rush attracted settlers, as well as the extraction of other minerals. Sheep farming and grain soon became important economic enterprises. The six colonies became states in 1901 and federated in the Commonwealth of Australia with a constitution that incorporated British parliamentary U.S. federal and traditions.

Australia became known for its liberal legislation: free and compulsory education, protected trade unionism with industrial conciliation and arbitration, the secret ballot, women's suffrage, maternity benefits and sickness and old age pensions.

Language in-use at Australia

Australia aborigines speak in English but not in a typical traditional way, they twist and shorten the language according to their convenience. The colloquial Australian-English uses abbreviations like Aussie for Australian, Brolly for umbrella, Chook for chicken, Damper for bread, Ta for thank you and so on.

Australian currency

In currency Australian dollar AUD called. Tourists to travel in Australia may withdraw the necessary amounts of any cash machines.

Fauna and flora

There are a lot of strange animals.
The best known animals are the kangaroo, koala, platypus, koala and the spiny anteater.

There are about 50 species of kangaroo.

Native forests are limited mainly to the wetter coastal districts and forests are mainly in Queensland.

Eucalyptus actually occupy the continent from the snow country south of the northern tropics, salt-laden river banks and the harsh deserts. Some species of embracing the land, while others reach to the sky and samples of more than 150 feet have been recorded.

For me, our presentation are good because we explain very good but we read a lot and are too nervious.

On the one hand, I agree with a week of holidays but I don't agree with the idea of us starting 1st of Setember because the holidays are too short.
In my experience, I wouldn't change this timetable because it is better.

DESCRIPTION

Aleix is a good friend. He's middle-height, brown-eyed and brown-long hair.

He sometimes wears glasses. Aleix seems introverted when you meet him, but he's very extroverted and chatty because he always talks to me.

He is friendly because he always helps me, but he is a bit selfish because he sometimes doesn't lend me money.

In generally, he is a good friend. I like that he thinks, even the worst.

Hello my name is pep riera, I’m fiftin years old and I study first of cientifichal batxillerat at ies castello d’Empuries.

Now I expose my oral presentation.

I talk about football in particulary fcbarcelona

Before, I play football , but , this year I don’t play it because batxillerat is too difficult.

I played in Agullana 6 years and in Castello 4 years.

For me, the football is the most important sport in the world because he has many followers.

The bests cups of football are cup mundial for de selections, and uefa champions league for European clubs.

Cup mundial is a tourney of the bests 32 selections and uefa champions league is a tourney of the bests 32 european clubs.

Football created for English people in middle age.

For me the best league of football is the Spanish league LFP because has the bests players in the world : xavi, iniesta, messi, ronaldo….

In the Spanish league are twenty teams , the bests are: fc Barcelona, real Madrid , sevilla and Valencia.

the only teams that have never fallen from the 1^st division are barça, Madrid and l'Altletic de Bilbao

In the history barça have got a lot of problems with presidents and some traineers because they just want to make money.

Barça plays two important matches.

One is the derby vs Español and the second is the classic vs Real Madrid.

Last year barça won 2-6 in Santiago bernabeu.

Barça win 6 cups of catalunya, ninetenn Spanish league, 25 kings cup and 3 uefa champions league: in 1992 vs sampdoria with gol of koeman, in 2006 vs arsenal with goals of eto’o and belleti and in 2009 vs Manchester unites with goals of Eto’o and Messi.

They play in camp nou. This stadium inaugurated in1957, this is the biggest stadium of Europe. Before they play in camp nou, they play in les corts,

The capacity of camp nou is 98000 of people.

Last year, Barcelona won 3 cups: one league, one uefa champions league and one copa del rey.

First uniform is red and blue t-shirt, blue shorts and blue and red stockings.

Second uniform is pink t-shirt, blue shorts and pink stokings and the thirst uniform is yellow t-shirt, blue shorts and yellow stockings.

They anthem are very nice and have a lot of supporters Of every nationalities.

My conclusion is easy. Real Madrid is the best team in the past, but now, the best is FC Barcelona.

COMPARISON BETWEEN ADRIAN MOLE’S PROBLEMS AND TRACY’S PROBLEMS

Adrian Mole’s problems are very different for Tracy’s problems.

Adrian’s problems are small: hs father, his spots and Tracy’s problems are very important how the drugs.

The problems of Tracy are important because she cuts her veins.

Any boy of his age, can have Adrian’s problems, but Tracy’s problems don’s be normal.

Both are problems, but Tracy’s are more important than Adrian’s.
